Commission Process

Each commissioned work is developed through a clear, collaborative process that responds to the site, scale, and intent of the project.

1. Discussing the Space

We begin by reviewing the location, wall or placement dimensions, existing lighting conditions, and general design preferences. This establishes the appropriate scale and presence of the work.

2. Establishing the Imagery

Reference material is gathered through one or more of the following:

  • Client-provided photographs

  • Artist-generated reference images

  • Optional on-site photography (available within 30 miles of the DFW area; $250–$500, paid upfront and applied toward the final commission)

3. Photo Sketch / Photo Collage

A photo sketch or composite is created to establish overall composition, imagery, and direction for the piece.

4. Black Line Sketch (Approval Stage)

A refined black line drawing functions as the structural blueprint for the work. Client approval is required before carving or fabrication begins.

5. Pricing & Budget Confirmation

A preliminary estimate can be provided early once approximate dimensions are known. Final pricing is confirmed following approval of the black line sketch.

6. Deposit & Fabrication

A 50% deposit is required to begin fabrication. The remaining 50% is due upon completion of the artwork.

7. Delivery & Installation

Delivery and installation are quoted separately and vary based on scale, location, and site conditions.

8. Optional Add-Ons

Additional options may include certificates of authenticity, lighting integration, custom finishes, presentation mockups, or additional revisions.
